Ji Young Kang

Dr. Ji Young Kang is an Assistant Professor at Department of Social Welfare, Chungnam National University. Her research focuses on Comparative Social Welfare States, Work and family reconciliation, Labor market inequalities and Social policy evaluation. Her research has appeared in several leading journals, such as Gerontologist, Journal of Social Policy, Social Policy and Administration, Children and Youth Service Review, and Family Relations. Some of her selected publications are “The effects of California Paid Family Leave on employment outcomes among low-income mothers one year after childbirth (Journal of Social Policy)”, “The Effects of Skill Regimes and Family Policies on the Gender Employment Gap (Social Politics)” and “Marriage and motherhood penalty in East Asia and Western countries (Family Relations)” and “Market Economies and precarious work: comparative perspective on work trajectories in USA, Germany and Korea (in Korean)." Dr. Kang received her Bachelor's and Master degree from Yonsei University and Ph.D from University of Washington.

강지영교수는 현재 충남대학교 사회복지학과 조교수이며 주요 연구분야는 비교사회정책, 일가정양립, 노동시장 불평등, 사회복지정책평가이다. 주요 논문은 “The effects of California Paid Family Leave on employment outcomes among low-income mothers one year after childbirth (Journal of Social Policy)”, “The Effects of Skill Regimes and Family Policies on the Gender Employment Gap (Social Politics)” , “Marriage and motherhood penalty in East Asia and Western countries (Family Relations)” “자본주의 모델과 불안정노동: 생애일자리 관점에서 본 미국, 독일, 한국의 비교(사회복지연구)” 등이 있다. 강지영교수는 연세대학교에서 학,석사 학위를, 미국 워싱턴대학교에서 박사학위를 취득했다.
